Vagina Smuggler

Deputies say a woman arrested on several charges Friday tried to smuggle a cigar tube filled with crack cocaine and a crack pipe into the Lee County Jail by hiding them in her vagina.

Angela Lynn Palmer, 37, was at the jail Saturday when deputies noticed she dropped a clear glass tube on the ground. Deputies said Palmer then said she had hidden items in her vagina, and an orange cigar tube then appeared on the floor next to her feet.

Deputies opened the tube and found two small rocks of crack cocaine and another crack pipe, according to a Lee County Sheriff's Office report. Palmer is facing charges of smuggling contraband into a detention facility, possession of narcotics equipment, destroying evidence, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, possession of cocaine, trespassing and unlawful reproduction of an identification card.

She remains in custody at the Lee County Jail.
